This is the 15 August 1928, 25 Peseta. The banknote has brown and blue coloring on multicolor under-print. It depicts the image of Pedro Calderon de la Barca, the famous Spanish poet and writer, to the right and a monument in the center of the front. The banknote displays the date and the denomination on the front and only the denomination on the back. The back depicts a religious comedy scene in brown on a lilac and blue colored background. It has three signatures on the front. This particular note has the serial number D7,.188,818, which is displayed on the front once but four times on the back. The paper of the note is light and the note has most of its original crispiness. The note has a water mark showing a woman's head to the left on the front. Based on the serial number this is the Republic issue. Please carefully review the scan presented as it is part and parcel of our description. Date: The note is dates 15 August 1928. Printer: Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. England. Size: The banknote measures ~4 3/4" by ~3 1/8". Pick Number: P 74b. Condition: I would grade this banknote as a choice extremely fine or much better with all the details being very well preserved. The note has one light central vertical crease. It has minimum soiling and one or two small stains but still retains most of its original crispiness. The note has no graffiti, pinholes, splits, or tears. The corners of the note have minimum rounding if any and are intact. The note has no splits and the edges are intact. Just a great piece to add to your collection.
