I dinged the casing when I first got it but added the silicone protective cover shortly thereafter for protection and it also covers the silver paint dings (see pics). I have had this for a few years and, per the battery test I completed with HQ Cycliq, it still gets near the 7 hours of straight camera run time they quote…however, the key is the more features you enable, the fewer the hours…so know this when you set it up. BTW, you can buy the Garmin (or others) front under mount hangers on Amazon 2/$12…and can also buy for $20-35 the combo Garmin/light front mount bracket. Please ask any questions before you buy as I won’t accept returns knowing it works as described as I used it on my last ride and all is as advertised.
