The early period of his work was deeply marked by the Baroque style of painting. He masterfully managed to work with light. His composition was dynamic and elegant. He painted for large religious orders (Benedictines, Cistercians, or Carmelites) and noble families. The painting portrays Prague Archbishop Franz Ferdinand Count of Khünburg.
