Description: Classic rockabilly/swamp pop release on Checker Records from 1957 by Louisiana native Dale Hawkins (1936-2010) featuring James Burton on guitar. This is an original first pressing on the Chess brothers subsidiary label with the classic “web” checkerboard design. (Later pressings had the label name in vertical lettering). Vinyl is graded in VG++ condition and is shiny on both sides. It has been cleaned using an ultrasonic record cleaner. The numbers 90 and 33 are written in a black marker on both labels. There are no label tears or tags. Dead wax is etched. This record is being sold from a large collection belonging to a recently deceased collector in Massachusetts. It had been in his collection for more than 40 years.
