It was an acid trip that took him on a meandering journey to Big Sur's Esalen Institute, where a chance meeting with Ravi Shankar and George Harrison turned everything around for him, as he tuned his five-string guitar to their instruments and wrote 'Song Of A Gypsy'. The album is a fine example of psychedelic rock and for the first time ever it has been corrected to the original's pitch and speed.
