Description: Danish Solid Silver Beaker Cup with engraved Tulip and Scrolling Leaf Motif Hallmarked Andreas Buemann Pinpricked date 1799Presented is a solid silver beaker cup with Hallmarks for silver from Denmark by Andreas Buemann of Hobro Provence 1733-1807. I have posted a picture of my research on this maker in the photos above. It has a great light engraved tulip motif with scrolling leafs and a light pin-pricked dated dedication with 1799 as well as a script name or dedication on the bottom; please see pictures for details as they are very light and almost unreadable. This is a nice usable piece and is in lovely condition with only some dings and some dents around the bottom edge and some scratches from use and care. While unmarked for a specific silver alloy mix, Denmark silver is usually 826 fine silver; American standard sterling silver is 925 fine, so there may be slightly less silver in this alloy. This is an excellent find for the collector of fine antique silver and makes a great piece for display. I have an interesting assortment of items listed so please look at my other auctions.Measure: 3 ½” inches tall, 3 ¼” inches across top, 2 ½” inches across bottomWeight: 3.6 ounces on my postal scale or 102 grams Marks: A.B I believe this item to be hallmarks for silver by Andreas Buemann of Hobro Provence 1733-1807. Please see pictures for research. Condition: some dents, some dings, a pin-pricked dedication on the side with date, a scratched dedication on the bottom, a some light scratches from gentle use.
