Description: Set of 2 bright yellow melamine pitchers by Dansk Gourmet Design with one pitcher cover (that fits both pitcher tops,) designed by Gunnar Cyrén* for Dansk in 1973, and made in Denmark. The taller pitcher measures Height 9 3/8″, Diameter 4.75″ at its smallest, and 6.25" in width to the spout, with a liquid capacity of 2 quarts, or 1,9L, per the imprint on the bottom of the pitcher. The shorter pitcher measures Height 6.5″, Diameter 4.75″ at its smallest, and 6.25" in width to the spout, with a liquid capacity of 1.5 quarts, or 1,4L, per the imprint on the bottom of the pitcher. Both pitchers are embossed with the DANSK Gourmet Design Dansk Gourmet Designs logo on the bottom. Both pitchers are in excellent pre-owned, vintage condition, with minor scuffs and scratches, and a bit of erosion on the edges at the bottom rims--commensurate with age and use--see photos. The functioning, and tightly fitting lid has a small, hairline crack at the area where the spout would be--see photos. All told, a happy, beautiful set, great for entertaining. *Gunnar Cyrén (1931-2013) iwas one of the most appreciated designers of our time, both in his home country Sweden as well as internationally. Dansk Gourmet was launched in 1973 with a collection consisting of 300 products, many of which were designed by Cyrén.
