Hard to find Original U.S. First Pressing Ambient / Experimental / New Wave / Alternative / Synth Pop Rock Soundtrack album from the Broadway show Directed and Coreographed by Twyla Tharp. David Byrne (Talking Heads) wrote or co-wrote all of the music which ranges from Talking Heads-ish New Wave / Alternative / Pop / Rock to Ambient and Experimental pieces. Players include Brian Eno, Jerry Harrison, Adrian Below, Bernie Worrell, Yogi Horton, John Chernoff, Steve Scales, Twyla Tharp and more. In the Original Cover with NO Barcode, Cutouts or Promo Markings! Includes the Original Picture / Lyrics / Credits Inner Sleeve. This is a Winchester First Pressing as indicated by “E A S T” embossed around the spindle hole on Side 2 as well as Vinyl Runout / Matrix markings which read: Matrix / Runout (Runout, Both Sides, Stamped): STERLINGMatrix / Runout (Runout, Side A, Etched): SRK.1‧3645‧ww2 #2 —◁ SP-1-3Matrix / Runout (Runout, Side B, Etched): SRK.2‧3645 - ww2 #3 SP 1-3 —◁ CONDITION The Sleeve is in good shape. There is some shelf wear, edge creasing and corner softening/wear. Super solid with no splits, stains, tears, writing, cutouts, etc. and would rate VG. The Vinyl is in clean Glossy condition looking lightly played. If you look closely you can spot a few light scuffs and hairlines - no actual scratches i.e. something you can feel with a fingernail. VG+ visually but plays pretty much perfectly EX to Near Mint with maybe a couple little spots of faint groove noise - might well be further improved with a better cleaning than I can give with my Discwasher brush. The labels show a couple light spindle trails but are otherwise Near Mint. The inner sleeve has some slight ring impression but is still probably NM. If I provide Play Grades it is done as a courtesy but I only guarantee the Visual Grade. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), please check it out before bidding. I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words: Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less!
