Designed and produced by the artist for the organization COYOTE (a group, founded by Margot St. James, whose mission was to decriminalize prostitution) COYOTE is an acronym for Cast Off Your Old Tired Ethics.This poster was produced for COYOTE's annual 'Hooker's Ball' in 1977, and is from the original edition. After David designed this image it was decided to change the name to the "Queen of Hearts Ball". David Lance Goines is an American artist, calligrapher, typographer, printing entrepreneur, and author. He was born in Grants Pass, Oregon, the oldest of eight children. His father was a civil engineer and his mother a calligrapher and artist.
