Description: This is a antique, hand-painted olive/khaki color ceramic charger plate from Buffalo Pottery's Deldare Ware product line. It was produced in Buffalo New York, America in 1908 during the Edwardian era and features a colonial theme with a hand-painted illustration called "An Evening at Ye Lion Inn." The company began as the Larkin Soap Company in 1875 and their first kilns produced the first US line of Blue Willow Pottery in 1903. The Deldare Ware line was only produced in 1908-1909 and again from 1923-1925. The semi-vitreous dishes were fired at high temperatures for more than 2 days and each had both an underglaze and overglaze. The plate is 13.5 inches in diameter, and signed by J. Gerhardt. It is an original piece and should be hand washed only.
