Description: This auction is for a delightful vintage Moorcroft English pottery decorative trinket box. This nice piece was purchased from a prominent Baltimore County estate. Moorcroft is noted for the highest level of quality as well as collectability; this piece is no exception. This beautifully detailed trinket box is decorated with a bold floral depiction on a soft multicolored green glazed ground, (see pics). This stunning flower adorned with greenery is rendered in high relief. The box has an overall profile height of 1 7/8". The lower section of the box measures 3 1/8" x 4 1/2" and the lid measures 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". It is impressed signed on the bottom and underneath the lid with "W. Moorcroft, potter to H.M the Queen". It is in very good condition with only a minor hard-to-find hairline on the bottom section and slight signs of crazing.
