Description: This is a rare and special Denise Calla VTG resin Santa holding teddy and goose in back basket . This Santa is the first piece reproduced by House of Hatten from one of Denise Calla's original wood carvings. Also, the first prototype sent to Denise for her approval. This design was always very popular and sold well from 1988 to 2003, and is still sought after in the secondary collectables market today. Because it was the first piece, Denise has signed it which makes it even more special because the Enchanted Forest early pieces were not signed by Denise Calla they only had the stamp of House of Hatten. He's been packed away, is clean and in good condition. He has some wear on tip of hood and on bottom of base, to be expected the piece is 37 years old. It is antiqued in her signature finish to look like a time worn piece of handcrafted folk art.
