Description: All items are wrapped in a brown wax lined paper and then placed into a cushioned box, there is styrofoam under the item and on all 4 sides, then there is packing peanuts put around the item and then there is an additional layer of 3/4" cardboard spacer put above the item to insure the safety and integrity of the item during the shipping process. All Dept. 56 items are in excellent condition, with lights and are ready to be displayed. It is a large Tudor-style inn with three gabled additions. Ashbury is a village in south Oxfordshire. All 3 I have for sale are 1991, first year production piece's. It stands 7 1/4" Tall by 10" Long by 5 1/2" Wide. In mint condition.One sleeve has the number 91 wrote on it in black marker, the other two are clean with no writing, tears, or stains. Dickens' Village Church (# 65161) was made from 1985-1989. There are 5 recognized versions of the Village Church.First - Cream and white: very pale, winter-white walls, with brown cornerstones and definitive brown roof.Second - Cream and yellow: pale but with yellowish mortar, with butterscotch cornerstones and roof.Third - Green: pale-green walls, with butterscotch cornerstones and roof.Fourth - Tan: tan walls, with butterscotch cornerstones and roof.Fifth - Butterscotch: walls and roof are nearly the same butterscotch color.Second and fifth versions appear 1/4" smaller in overall size than the other 3.Sleeves read "Village Church"This piece for sale is a 1985 1st year production piece, the Fifth version and stands 9 1/2" Tall by 8 1/2" Long by 5 3/4" Wide and weighs 2 lbs., 3 oz. Sleeve has been marked with a red marker that states "X-MAS" on one side of the sleeve, it is shown in the pictures. Dudden Cross Church (# 58343) was made from 1995-1997. It is a red brick country church with gray trim and bell tower, built alongside a former church ruin; attached red cross banner. This is a 1995 a first year production piece. It stands 8 1/2" Tall by 8 1/2" Long by 5 1/2" Wide and weighs 2 lbs., 1 oz. There is no writing on sleeve, or stains. Fagin's Hide-A-Way (#55522) was made from 1991-1995. It stands 8 1/4" Tall by 8" Long by 5" Deep and weighs 2 lbs., 3 oz. It is a attached barrel warehouse and residence where Fagin takes in children and trains them to be pickpockets; 3 chimneys. Dickens based his Fagin's Hide-A-Way and the characters in Oliver Twist on the people who frequented the series of underground passageways in London. Both of them are 1991, 1st year production pieces. One sleeve has a black marker 91 on it, the other sleeve has no writing. Hembleton Pewterer (# 58009) was made from 1992-1995. It is a large Tudor-style home and business, with paint elements of green & brown; proprietor of metal utensils and containers, with attached side business of "Tom Hawkins Chimney Sweep." It stands 7" Tall by 9" Long by 6 1/2" Wide and weighs 2 lbs. 6 oz. Both that I have are 1992, 1st year production pieces. One sleeve has a black marker 92 on it, the other sleeve has no writing. J.D. Nichols Toy Shop was made from 1995-1998. It is green and light-yellow building with peaked roof lines, potted sisal topiaries, and gold pediments, with a locomotive sign. It stands 8 1/4" Tall by 8 1/2" Long by 5 1/4" Deep, and weighs 2 lbs., 6 oz. This is a 1995 first year production piece. Sleeve has no writing on it. Nottinghill Church (#55824) was made from 1989-1995. It is a rustic brick church with elements of red, black and honey brown, including dark gray roof, intricate lancet windows, arched wooden door, and bell tower. This is a 1989, first year production piece. I t stands 8" Tall by 8 3/4" Wide by 5.3" Deep it weighs, 2 lbs. and 7 oz. The sleeve has no writing on it, or tears, or stains in excellent condition.
