Huang is also an expert of theoretical economics group at Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and expert of review group of National Social Science Fund. Huang created the Center for Economic Research of Shandong University and the journal of Research of Institutional Economics. Huang is one of the important organizers and leaders of Chinas property-rights theory, institutional economics and law economics as well as the research and discipline construction of language economics. Huangs main research area is property-rights theory, business theory, institutional economics and rural economy. And he successively won the Sun Yefang Economics Award and the first China Rural Development Research Award.
