Description: For consideration is a beautiful handmade 2-piece outfit of a drawstring-waist skirt & matching hooded, fully lined capelet of 100% cotton. The print is a rosy red (not true red, a tough of pink in it) and white check with gold metallic thread lining each square. The skirt has a 3/4" waist band with a 5/8" white grosgrain ribbon through it. The drawstring waist ties at the back seam. Waist band is top stitched for a clean finished look. The hem is machine stitch rolled twice ready for wear with a 1" wide white cotton lace around it. Ribbon edges are treated with a fray block. Can be worn over a crinoline (as shown in some pics but crinoline is not included in this sale). The matching capelet is made with some extra fullness for larger shoulders or breasts. It is fully lined in white cotton & has a generous round cut hood attached. The inner edge of the hood is the outer fabric. It closes with a large fancy gold metallic frog at the neckline. This outfit is a unique, one-of-a kind, handmade piece; no one else will be wearing the same skirt to whatever event you attend. Please see the measurement for a good fit.
