The Spad S XIII, was one of several limited production, diecast aircraft made in Italy by Edison. This airplane has moveable ailerons and rear stabilizer surfaces. Includes original clear plastic display case. This airplane was designed by Britain flown by the Italian, French and American pilots during World War 1. 8,472 Spads were produced, more than any other plane during the War. I have owned this scale aircraft for 20 years and have never remove the plane from its cradle until these photos were taken. The detail on this model is exact and the finish is immaculate. It looks like brand new. This is the first time offered for sale from my personal collection of 11 different Edison Giocattoli scale aircraft. This is Edison Giocattoli’s model number 1003 and is one of their “Heroes Wings” Series WW 1 1/72 scale Fighter airplanes.
