Description: WELCOME FOOLISH MORTAL! ***to avoid confusion, this IS a prop replica*** Standing over almost 3' tall (35"), this sign was put out in front of Disneyland's Haunted Mansion in January of 1965, almost 4 years before the ride ever opened and again was displayed this past week for the 50th. It was sort of a recruiting sign for ghosts, an invitation for them to retire in the Haunted Mansion. Notice the famous Haunted Mansion plaques are not even up yet. This sign is PVC, made for outdoor use, and ready to display on any standard sign holder. The 2nd and last photos are photos from the 60s that show the original sign in the park and even the parks approval to have it "installed." It does have holes in it for hanging. Also, I included a picture of a sign post (NOT INCLUDED) that I found online (its about $75) that is a pretty close fit to the original.
