Altogether, 12 regular episodes are included with this release, along with two special episodes – the 2014 Christmas episode “Last Christmas” and the 2015 Christmas episode “The Husbands of River Song” – as well as two shorts that are prequels to the episode “The Magician’s Apprentice”. The series was led by head writer and executive producer Steven Moffat, alongside executive producer Brian Minchin. Nikki Wilson, Peter Bennett, and Derek Ritchie served as producers.
