DoD Technical Support Working Group Black Coffee Mug

Description: I obtained this mug from a member of my staff who supported the Department of Defense (DoD) Technical Support Working Group (TSWG) during the early 1990’s. The TSWG is a United States Interagency program for research and development into combating terrorism measures. Established in 1986, TSWG falls under the oversight of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations/Low-Intensity Conflict (ASD SO/LIC) and derives some authorities for international work from the Coordinator for Counterterrorism at the Department of State. This cup is extremely rare based on a limited production run. Over the next several decades, these military memorabilia were periodically displayed and/or stored with all my other military service items either in my workplace or in one of our multiple smoke free homes. Since my wife and I relocated from Manassas VA to Fort Myers, FL, I no longer have a space to display or permanently store all my DoD systems engineering and technical analysis support contractor or military service memorabilia. As a result, I am offering this vintage 1990’s DoD TSWG Black Coffee Mug for sale on eBay. The front view of this DoD TSWG Black Coffee Mug contains their organizational emblem as shown in the first attached high-resolution photograph. The center of the gold emblem exhibits a triangle. The left side of the triangle contains the text: “INTERAGENCY” and the right side of the triangle contains the text: “INTERNATIONAL”. The bottom of the triangle contains the bold text: “TSWG”. The cup’s height is approximately 4 3/4 inches high and its width is approximately 3 3/8 inches wide. The cup’s black handle is approximately 3 1/2 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches wide (widest point). The cup holds approximately 12 ounces of liquid. The rear view of this DoD TSWG Black Coffee Mug is shown in the second attached high-resolution photograph. This side of the mug contains the following gold text: “TECHNICAL SUPPORT WORKING GROUP”. The mug’s black handle is approximately 3 1/2 inches high as exhibited in this photograph. The right-side view of this DoD TSWG Black Coffee Mug is shown in the fourth attached high-resolution photograph. Only a portion of the front emblem and rear text are viewable in this photograph. The top view of this DoD TSWG Black Coffee Mug is shown in the fifth attached high-resolution photograph. The mug’s dimension is approximately 3 1/4 inches in diameter. The bottom view of this DoD TSWG Black Coffee Mug is shown in the sixth attached high-resolution photograph. A sticker is affixed on the bottom with the following text: “Made in China/Headwind” as shown in the seventh attached high-resolution photograph. The mug’s dimension is approximately 3 1/4 inches in diameter. There is an inner white ring that measures 2 3/4 inches in diameter. This DoD TSWG Black Coffee Mug’s unique gold emblem is still very vibrant. The mug contains no chips or scratches and is in near excellent condition for being 30 plus years old. This mug has never been used, only displayed in my workplace or home office, both of which were smoke free environments. Upon retirement, this mug was carefully packed in bubble wrap and stored in a sealed plastic container in our smoke free home.
