Description: Don Quixote by Miguel Cervantes, 1930. Very good condition. Vintage classic from The Modern Library with an introduction by Herschel Brickell. This was one of the most well read novels of its time, as it broke from traditional strict writing style, and was written as a novel as we know it today. Hardcover has dirt, spots, and much wear to outer covers, edges, and spine. There are stains on the outside top pages, but they don't affect the text inside. The cover is ripped at the bottom of the spine, and the binding is loosening, but still intact. The inside covers are dirty and the first title pages are separating from the binding. There is an ex Libris label on inside front cover, and a name written in ink on the upper edge of 1st page. The interior pages are very good with normal aging, an occasional mark, and a few areas where the binding has pulled away( see photos). Overall, the interior is clean with a few small dog ears, but no apparent rips. If not for the loose binding and wear to the cover, I would have given this a vg+. Not a pretty cover, but a very readable classic that has survived almost a century!
