The back side of the singing bowl is carved with Tibetan Om and the outer part of the bowl is carved with Tibetan Mantras. The word vajra sometimes signifies the lighting-bolt power of enlightenment and the absolute, indestructible reality of shunyata, "emptiness." Singing bowls are used for meditation, sound therapy, healing, sound massage and more.
