Description: Nice double sided photograph (2 images on one mount) depicting buildings in c1890s Port Townsend Washington. One side shows the Eisenbeis Block at 830 Water Street. Built in 1889, it then held the Mensor Brothers Store. The awning states it is a one price store with dry goods and furnishings. Two horse drawn wagons are parked outside the store and other pedestrians. The albumen image is 5 ¾” x 7 ¾’. The image on the other side depicts the E M Leyman’s residence, also Port Townsend. Nice Victorian style multi story home on a hillside. No other homes or buildings are seen in the image, but a man & woman are on the stairs. Same size image. The mount is 8” x 9 ½”. Hand penned descriptions below the images. The mount is a bit wavy from poor storage, but not too bad. Both images are clean, with the residence having better tonality. See scans.
