Description: Offered is the book "Down Town-The Journal of James Aloysius Holcombe, Jr. for Ephraim Holcombe Mookinfoos", written by Ferrol Sams and published in Macon, Georgia by the Mercer University Press. The fictional book about Southern life from Reconstruction to the 21st century has a 2007 copyright date and is a stated first edition. It has been signed by the author, with a personal dedication, dated 10-12-07. The original dust jacket is included. The book is approx. 9 1/4" x 6 1/4" and contains 309 pages. It is in very good to excellent condition. The black and gray hard cover has no wear, although there is some light fading around the edges. The silver words on the spine are still shiny. There is no cracking inside either the front or the back cover. The white endpapers are clean. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-attached to the binding, clean and clear. I see no writing in the book other than the author's. The dust jacket has no tears or holes. It does have some light creasing and edge wrinkling. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions. I will do my best to answer them! Please take a moment to look at some of the other items in my eBay store!
