Description: This bottle was first marketed on the Pacific Coast as early as 1858 amber-colored bottle . It has rectangular sides with rounded shoulders and a tapered lip at the top of the neck.Originally , it was a 27 ounce bottle , when in February 1865 bottles sizes decreased to 20 ounces. It is believed that after 1865 Hostetter was selling over 6000 bottles of bitters a day Pretty interesting history and the bottle itself is a given for antique bottle collectors.
