Well these dice are a wonderful combination of both, and their lovely textured look is both a treat for the eyes and a treat for the hands. They provide a lovely tactile sensation for the hand to play with during a tense moment of play, and have a visually exciting texture to explore at the same time. That and they're made of Black Sandalwood, which is just really cool and one of my favorite woods currently available for dice making. Other rarer options are available, but their grains and styles just don't translate into dice as well as Sandalwood, nor are they particularly easy to work with. Black Sandalwood contrasts its counterpart by having a more striped grain as opposed to a dotted one that makes it rife with character, and easier to distinguish the uniqueness that is each set. This is because each set is as unique as the wood it was made from, and no tree is identical to another on the inside. Each 7 dice set includes: 1D20, 1D10, 1D8, 1D12, 1D6, 1D%, and 1D4. This set is made of wood and is thus susceptible to moisture, excessive pressure, and and scratching. They're not fragile, and a drop of water or sitting on them won't damage the dice, but they are not indestructible, and under the right conditions very predictable problems will occur. For that reason, the dice ship in a foam cutout metal box, and is specially wrapped to ensure safety in shipping. It is highly recommended to roll dice such as these exclusively in a rolling tray or another soft surface in order to keep them in the best shape possible for years to come. Do Dragao waves all responsibility for all wooden dice either broken or damaged after being received by the customer. None of this means the dice will be damaged, but that it is a possibility characteristic of all gemstone, glass, and wood dice and needs to be remembered at all times. Thank you.
