The Story: An American actor (Coyote) filming in Italy has a steamy affair with an unknown British actress (Scacchi). She becomes his love interest in real life as well as in her role in the film they are making. She becomes angry when he refuses to give an interview to her journalist father, but they soon get past this and carry on their torrid affair - much like the characters they are portraying. When Coyote's American wife (Curtis) unexpectedly visits Italy, significant complications arise. This directorial artistry plus the parallel internal story lines make for a great watch. Greta Scacchi was in her prime - she made White Mischief the same year and Coca Cola Kid two years earlier, firmly establishing her status as a screen siren. An added plus is the musical score by Oscar winning composer Georges Delerue (A Little Romance) Per the label, the film has 115 minute running time and is presented in widescreen format; with mostly English audio, no subtitles.
