Dwarf white isopods feed on decaying matter and waste, making them the perfect "cleaning crew" for your bioactive vivarium. They are also ideal as feeders for animals that require tiny prey items. Dwarf white isopods are easy to care for, if you can grow tropical plants in your vivarium your isopods will reproduce and do well in it! Each 16 oz culture contains damp peat moss, decaying potato for food, a piece of cardboard, and about 25-50 isopods of various sizes. Isopods like to hide when they are disturbed, so you may not see them when they first arrive. Let them settle in for a day or so, and then you will see them if you peek under the cardboard and potato. We want you to receive healthy and happy isopods, so if it is hot or cold where you are please plan on having someone there to bring them inside when they arrive. We have a great track record with shipping live insects, but if there are any issues please contact us with clear photos of the problem before leaving feedback. We will attempt to resolve any problems that may arise. We ship Monday and Tuesday so that packages don't get held up over the weekend.
