Description: Here is a very interesting and rare E & H.T. Anthony Studio Camera. I have never seen another Anthony like this one and it might have been a custom order from the factory as it's been raised several inches so the back can have the full range of movements in its sliding back. It is in beautiful condition showing light wear. The sliding back still works. The ground glass is approx 8" x 8". The lens board is approx 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" and has an opening of 4 1/4" so it will take a giant lens. The bellows are in excellent shape. I checked with a flashlight and saw a few very tiny pinhole leaks but nothing that couldn't be repaired. The base has a length of 23". It looks like it once had a rear extension piece to the base but it is long gone. A beautiful camera for display or could still be used for wet-plate or dry-plate work if you found or adapted a holder to fit the camera.
