EAPG: Adams & Co. "Palace" aka "Moon & Star" Cake Stand

Description: Looking for a beautiful antique cake stand to brighten your home decor? Commonly known as "MOON AND STAR," the original manufactures name for this pattern was "PALACE" when first made by the Adams Glass Company of Pittsburgh back in 1888. The cake stand, in clear glass, measures 7 inches in height with a 10 inch top diameter and a 5 inch base diameter. and weighs in at a hefty 4 pounds. The glass has a soft yellow glow under a black light. It does not "pop" like uranium glass but the yellow glow is present. At well over 100 years of age there are a few minor flea bites along the bottom side of the scallop edge that are more apparent to touch than to sight. I have tried to include photos of the flea bites in photos 6 & 7 but even under magnification they are tough to photograph. If you are a fan or collector of "MOON AND STAR," of Early American Pattern Glass, or simply enjoy beautiful glass, this one is for you.
