Description: Here is a hard-to-find with lid, all-over rose version of Lancaster Glass Company's "Gaudy Rose" dresser jar or puff box. The puff box (face powder jar for the dresser) is reminiscent of the Victorian beauty ideal; this is the version with a rose covered lid; the jar could also be purchased with a "Gibson Girl" top. These were originally sold in clear with goofus treatment (embossed/painted gold or colors), and in painted milk glass. There is one edge chip from the bottom of the lid as seen in the final image.
