Description: A nice antique original Vol. VI of "The Botanists Repository" by H. Andrews. This series was released as a series from the late 1700's into the early 1800's. These plates are dated 1804. It has 72 hand colored engravings of plants with the facing pages giving detailed descriptions. Most of the engravings are approx 8" by 10-1/2" with several folding out to 16" by 10-1/2". The volume is complete although, the binding and spine are well worn. All of the contents are intact but, some pages are beginning to come loose. The covers are bare cardboard but, may have been covered or partially covered at one time. The contents are very good with moderate age. The color is still quite good. Many show some print transfer between the facing pages and the engravings. I am selling this as a complete volume as I would prefer not to cut this up and sell the prints separately. This is a little out of my normal area so, feel free to ask any questions you think may be helpful.
