Description: This early 1900's Chicago Sporting Goods Mfg. Co. "Ratsch Peerless" duck web glove is 9 1/2" tall and 9" wide. It is one of the nicest I've seen. The glove is all original with no writing or ink. The finger stalls are not in good shape, but you don't know that until you put your hand in the glove. The lining looks and feels good. It is not dry, just wrinkled. The piping is in remarkable condition for a glove this old. The hole in the hand strap for the button closure is fine. The back of the glove shows some minor white abrasions, but nothing that has torn the leather. The palm of the glove as you see in the pictures has a couple of tiny wear spots. Someone did some very neat, and very fine stitching to try and save the glove from further damage. You can see that stitching in one of the pictures. It runs across the palm of the glove for about three inches. The webs between each of the fingers could not be any better. There is no manufacturer information on the glove except for the original Ratsch Peerless button. Probably a good 90% of the button is easily readable. There is some substance on the edge of the button that could probably be removed, but i did not want to mar the button in any way. The glove is very soft and pliable with wrinkling to the leather in the palm area. The stitching repair is not that prominent. PayPal or Ebay payment please. Shipping and insurance will be $15.00.
