Description: Early 20th Century Folk Art English Whirligig/Weathervane Figure A quirky and charming example of an early 20th Century English folk art whirligig / Weathervane Figure. Stood on a recently added pine base, this whirligig would have been part of a larger weathervane figure. Scratch built from found objects, including a metal sheet advertising section from propeller, carved wooden sections and great little framer figure with a bottle top for a hat and metal pin for a pipe. This item still moves freely as originally intended, now more of a folk-art decorative object.
