This rug shows mostly even wear, but there are areas showing some foundation with lower, exposed spots as seen in the photos. There are some repairs on the rug along the sides and at the one end. Losses seen at one end. Small slit , hole at one end. Restoration up to the buyer. Really a very nice example of an early village rug. Signed and dated at the top of the rug. Rug is from the 1800's.
