Description: For sale we offer a rare early Trader Vic's skull tiki mug. The mug is in nice original condition and was purchased from its original owner. It measures 4 1/2 inches tall and 7 inches across with its handle. The unique thing on this mug is the stamping on the bottom. We can't find another one like it. We are guessing it was one of the first ones made before the switched companies to Tempco. It makes foe an amazing display piece. Thanks for looking and please let us know if you have any additional questions. TRADER VICS WORLDWIDEhas a rich history of success and innovation that all began in 1934 when Vic "The Trader" Bergeron built a cozy little saloon on San Pablo Avenue in Oakland, California called Hinky Dinks. After embarking on an adventure to Cuba to refine his skills as a bartender and explore the subtleties of rums from around the world, The Trader transformed Hinky Dinks into a tiki-bedecked tropical retreat aptly named Trader Vic's and put into practice his research on rums. Years ahead of his time, Vic began serving simmering plates of island-style cuisine, and Trader Vic's quickly became one of America's first fusion restaurant concepts.
