In normal soil conditions, it is possible to screw an earth anchor into the ground by hand in 15 minutes or less. Solid clay can be a bit more difficult, but this tool has been tested in clay soils. This tool can also be used in partially frozen ground by digging a small starter hole to allow the tool to get beneath the frozen upper layer. If there are rocks or roots in the way, just move the anchor a few inches to the left or right. This earth anchor hand tool is is a viable way to install earth anchors.
