It is an ebonized frame which has been carved out in an Eastlake aesthetic movement design. It is quite large roughly 8 x 14 and can be viewed on a table top or hung on the wall. The image size is roughly 3 3/4 x 5 3/4 and has a metal frame and fabric decoration around the image area. The glass is 100% original from this timeframe. It has not been replaced.
