Description: Edna St.Vincent Millay ~ 2 Book Lot+ some nice extras ! Note: Two older editions of Millay's work, one a hardcover and the other a paperback. These are not Mint/Collectors copies, more like reading/reference copies - to be left out, passed around and shared. Or torn down & cut up for craft/collage work.They have mostly just cosmetic blemishes and detailed descriptions are noted in the 'Condition' section below. Neither book has highlighting/underlining/marking, nor any torn/missing pages. All books i sell are mildly wiped down and dusted clean via air duster.While some may have an old book smell there is no mildew/dank smell to any. All are from a smoke free // pet free home. All are just dying for a new home and to be read again! a) Collected Lyrics of .... 1939 Book Club Edition, Hardcover Published by Harper & Row ISBN noneCondition: overall 'Very Good' Covers - under the dust jacket the covers look very nice. They are slightly different from the other standard editions, which have a more textured cloth. This Book Club Edition covers are a very smooth & darker blue cloth. Corners are slightly bumped. Hinge attachments on the inside are still firmly attached, tho the upper left corner of the inside front does show a small faint stain of some kind. Gold lettering on the spine is still nice and bright.Interior - is virtually pristine. No marks, writing or dog-eared pgs.. There is some spotting (foxing) to the text block on the outside, upper. A little bit on the other 2 sides also but barely discernible. Dust Jacket - has seen better days! Slightly sun-faded, mostly on the spine. Some light scuffs/scrapes here & there. Top & bottom edges have small tears and/or wrinkles, mostly along the folds. There have been 2 minor tape repairs to those edges but more repair work is needed (easy beginners restoration work, especially if you're crafty). On the inside, the spine shows some water damage tho it doesn't really affect the integrity of the paper there. ************************* b) Collected Sonnets 1970 Paperback Published by Perennial Classic (Harper & Row) ISBN none Condition: 'Good+' at least. An obviously well read paperback but it's still sturdy - plenty of life left.Covers are slightly faded but still bright. Edges with some tiny dings Interior shows all pages to be very faded/tanned, mostly just around the edges. Otherwise, no markings or writing. *************************c) Extra #1: U.S. Postage Stamp, 1981 First Day Issue Cachet on Envelope.2 cachet envelopes with the same stamp and cancellation date & place, but with different artwork. Condition: Both are in Excellent condition. Stamps are cancelled but envelopes are unused/unmailed. *************************d) Extra #2:New York Newsday Sept 9, 2001 book ReviewA full page, and then some, review of 3 recent Millay books.On the back side - a review of a recent Susan Sontag book.Condition: Slightly faded, has been kept folded - once in half then twice more.
