Description: VERY RARE and less than 100 in existence, this sword was forged generations ago. It is in very good condition with only a very small and minor pattina on one little part of the crestplate. The blade is shiny and clean and is very reflective so it's hard to get a proper photo of it. Details on this sword... The Eickhorn sword is rich in European culture and was crafted by the renowned Solingen silversmiths. Originally designed to be presented as gifts to visiting dignitaries, less than 100 of these Eickhorn swords are known to be in existence. Classic German quality is richly displayed throughout this hand crafted sword. The blade was forged from steel which feature unique etchings depicting Black forest hunts that are intricately carved and finely detailed by hand. The etching actually wraps around the blade to the bold edge...a recognized sign of supreme quality. The hand rubbed handle is made from an actual deer antler and features three acorns. A stag's head adorns the crestplate and the handle guards are sculpted in the form of deer hooves. The sword is protected by a leather and steel sheath which is adorned with one acorn. This piece would be a perfect addition to any fine collection. It is being offered after the passing of a serious collector.
