The finish has been changed from anodized to Cerakote to reduce the scope’s IR detection and is available in either black or FDE. The SpecterDR scopes also now feature an integrated Picatinny rail in the housing to accommodate accessories such as red dot sights. Additionally, reticle options have been expanded to cater to both the 5.56 and 7.62 round preferences of the shooter. Similar to the previous models, the Elcan SpecterDR 4x/1x utilizes an innovative throw-lever to change magnifications. This allows the user to instantly switch between the 4x and 1x magnifications, making the SpecterDR perfect for both close and mid-range engagements. The SpecterDR’s close/mid-range capabilities are further enhanced by the optic’s illumination function, which can be used to illuminate the entire crosshair for longer-range targets or illuminate a bright center dot for accurate close-range shooting. Other features of the SpecterDR include a generous field of view that remains the same at both 4x and 1x magnification, as well as a wide field of view for greater situational awareness.
