Three controls allow you to fine-tune the settings to suit your system, instrument, and playing style. Threshold sets the level of the input signal at which the gate begins to work. Reduction controls how much the signal level is attenuated when the gate is activated. The reduction range can be set from -70dB to +4dB. Release sets the time from when the input signal level drops below the threshold until the gate closes. Release time can be set from 8ms to a maximum of 4sec. Inputs, outputs, sends, and returns are provided, and are switched on and off by footswitch, but the effects loop is always active whether the gate is on or in bypass mode (buffered bypass). This unit is powered by 1 x 9V battery or optional Electro-Harmonix JP9.6DC-200 AC adapter (9VDC center-minus). Break through the noise with the Silencer!
