Description: Ellis Post Shore Clamp 4 x 4 Package of 24 Clamps The bread and butter in the Ellis line of products. Every company has a product that has made them famous, this one is our star. FACT: Ellis Manufacturing Co. originated and patented the first Ellis Clamp in the 1950's. BENEFITS: Safe & Proven- One 4x4 Ellis shore will support 6,000 lbs. at 10 feet. Timesaver- Ellis 4x4 Shores go up and down faster per project, which means fewer men and time to do the job. Versatility- Use the Ellis shore to support formwork for building parking garages and concrete buildings. Also, in tight spots where shore frames won't fit. And even horizontally for trench shoring. Economy- Designed to be used hundreds of times, making its cost per use close to ziltch. Erecting an Ellis Shore is EASY, to begin simply attach two clamps to the lower shore member and then slide the upper shore member through the set of clamps. When the desired height is obtained final adjustments can be made w/ the Ellis Jack Wrench. The clamps can then be tapped down to seat them. Then simply drive a safety nail above each casting on the upper shore member. This is intended to keep the clamps from vibrating loose not for supporting any weight. Total Shore Height (Ft.) Length: For jobs requiring shores 20’ or less the lower shore member should be 7’ and the upper shore member long enough to reach desired height. For shores over 20’, we suggest putting the upper (or longer) member at the bottom and the lower shore member (with two clamps attached) at the top. By doing this, the bottom member can be braced at recommended intervals and adjustments can be made to the top member by workmen working off scaffold planks laid across the bracing. This eliminates removing several rows of bracing to make minor adjustments.
