Description: This is an elongated Antique Seated Primitive Wood Buddha Figure from Thailand. This piece was purchased in Bangkok in the early 1970's by my father who was an antique dealer in Penang, Malaysia at the time. He purchased his inventory primarily from two well respected antique dealers in Bangkok - Peng Seng & Anna's Antiques. Based on my experience & knowledge of these type of figures, I estimate this item dates to well before the Turn of the Century. Please review the Condition Description above: This primitive antique piece is in degraded condition due to aging & wear. Please note the bottom of the piece is NOT flat & the Buddha Figure will NOT stand upright. The Buddha will either need to be displayed on a flat surface or mounted. Please review all pictures closely in regards to the condition of this Buddha figure. Buddha Dimensions: 9 inches in length, 1 7/8 inch wide at the base with a depth of 1 1/8 inch.
