She wrote primarily under the pen name Andre Norton, but also under Andrew North and Allen Weston. She was born Feb 17, 1912 and died March 17, 2005. Praised as “a superb talent” by The New York Times, Andre Norton was a legend in science fiction, and is renowned as one of our greatest storytellers. She is very missed by her sci fi friends. The co author, Mercedes Ritchie Lackey, is an American writer of fantasy novels. Many of her novels and trilogies are interlinked and set in the world of Velgarth, mostly in and around the country of Valdemar. Born: 1950 in Chicago, Illinois.
