Description: Book description; Published by Thomas Nelson and Sons Limited, undated but circa 1930, this is 'Emma' by Jane Austen part of their Famous Books series. The dust-jacket has loss to the spine and wear to the edges and corners (please see photos) I have covered it to protect it from further wear. The red boards are in very good condition and the pages are clean, white and tight throughout. There is '4/6' in pen on the first free end-paper. At the rear of the book are pages advertising other books published by Nelson. The text block is lightly foxed. The book is illustrated by Bessie Darling Inglis. There are 8 full-page black and white illustrations throughout the book. A lovely scarce edition of this collectable title, a pity the jacket is not in better condition.
