Caring For Your Banner: When cleaning your banner, wipe it down with a soft, damp, nonabrasive cloth. Try using microfiber towels or soft cotton towels. Avoid sponges and other abrasive materials. Don?t use harsh cleaning chemicals, detergents, or solvents; this can fade the color of the banner and damage it as well. If you have to use soap to clean your banner, use something that is mild and free of odors. Remember to mix a solution of water and soap to use on your banner. Remember to wipe off all the soap from your banner before letting it dry. Don?t use paper towels, they are abrasive and can damage your banner. Ensure your banner is dry before storing it. Store your clean, dry banner rolled up in a container and place in a dry, cool place that?s out of sunlight. Try storing it so that letters and logos aren?t touching each other; this helps ensure colors don?t rub off on each other. Finally, when hanging your banner, remember to use the proper tools. You don?t want your banner to fall on the ground, get stepped on, or damaged from it not being hung properly. These accessories work great with grommets. Bungee Cords:Bungee cords are excellent for pulling your banner tight when displayed. Metal chains, fishing line, and other durable materials can also be used in place of rope but we do not offer these on our website as we?ve found rope to be the best of these types of hanging accessories. Hanging Clips:Hanging clips, commonly referred to as carabiners, can be easily clipped through grommets, which can then clip to anchor points or objects. Carabiners can be used for both permanent or temporary display. These make a great option for displaying a banner on a chain link fence, as the carabiners can hook into the fence and to the sign through the metal grommets. Zip Ties:Zip ties are designed for temporarily displaying your banner on fences (chain link fences are the best for this). We recommend using zip ties for casual, outdoor events (fairs, food truck advertising, grand openings, sales, birthday parties, and more)! Zip ties are also more commonly used for longer periods of time as they are more permanent in nature than bungee cords, rope or clips. To hang your banner using zip ties, simply put the zip tie through the grommet and the anchor point of wherever you?re hanging it then secure it by attaching the ends of the zip tie together. To remove it, simply cut the zip ties. Suction Cups with Hooks:Suction cups allow you to hang banners on non-porous (smooth), flat surfaces. The most common application surface for these is glass. Hooks extend from the suction cups that can go right into the grommets of your banner. It?s extremely important to mention that suction cups are not meant for large or heavy banners.
