They are 50% lighter in weight and easier to install than the previous generation of Enphase Engage Cable. They are UL listed and the new cable numbering simplifies wire management. The cables come to size and are plug and play, all connections are water tight for a reliable long lasting installation. For 240V system the Q-cable comes in 3 different sizes:Q-12-10-240 Q-Cable 1.0m (39")* long for 60-cell and 72-cell modules oriented in portraitQ-12-17-240 Q-Cable 1.7m (66.5")* long for 60-cell modules oriented in landscapeQ-12-20-200 Q-Cable 2.0m (79")* long for 72-cell modules oriented in landscape*NOTE: Length of all cables listed above are actually 30 cm (12") longer than the length that is stated for each cable. This allows for an extra 30 cm (12") cable slack between each inverter. For example the Q-12-10-240 Portrait Q-Cable is actually 1.3 meters (51") in length between each connector NOT the stated 1.0 meter. The stated 1.0 meter length for the Portrait cable is the nominal distance from one inverter to the next. Price is for (1) drop connector and attached cabling ~ 25" in length on each side of the connector (total length 51" in between connectors).Connectors are spaced at roughly 51” on center for PORTRAIT (VERTICAL) module orientation. If you are ordering multiple connectors they will be connected with each other. The number of connectors should match the number of Microinverters to be installed.
