Description: This is a rare February 26th, 1981 playbill from the four-week engagement of the EUGENE O'NEILL play "A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN" at the Forum Theatre in Metuchen, New Jersey. (The production opened February 26th, 1981 and ran for four weeks.) ..... The play starred KELIHER WALSH as "Josie Hogan" and DENNIS PREDOVIC as "James Tyrone, Jr." and included ANDY STAHL, CHRISTOPHER BOYD and TERRY GREISS ..... Side Note: A Moon for the Misbegotten had its official World Premiere on February 20th, 1947 at the Hartman Theatre in Columbus, Ohio. The Theatre Guild production went on to play engagements in Pittsburgh, Detroit, and St. Louis. Dissatisfied with the casting of both James Dunn as "James Tyrone, Jr." and Mary Welch as "Josie Hogan", the Guild closed the production, intending to recast it for the following season. However, the play would not to be seen on Broadway during O'Neill's lifetime. The Original Broadway production opened May 2nd, 1957 at the Bijou Theatre in New York City and ran for 68 performances .....
