(1875-1934)] Original 1919 Program for the King and Queen of Belgium Original 1919 program, printed on silk, from the variety show given at the New York Hippodrome in honor of the visit of King Albert I and Queen Elisabeth of Belgium to the United States. Dated October 3rd, 1919, the program, "Happy Days," is described as a "Mammoth Musical Spectacle in Three Acts by R. H. Burnside. Music by Raymond Hubbell." At the foot: "Belgium National Anthem Conducted by Eugene Ysaye." The Belgian violinist, composer, and conductor known as "The King of the Violin" had taken the position of music director of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra the previous year, where he would remain until 1922.Slight fraying to the silk at the top and bottom edges and paperclip marks on the verso; otherwise a beautiful souvenir program in very fine condition. 22 x 28 cm.
