Maxfield Parrish (1870-1966) was an American painter and illustrator active in the first half of the 20th century. Parrish helped shape the Golden Age of illustration and American Visual Arts. He is known for his paintings with distinctive saturated hues, whimsical mythological scenes, beauty and imagination. Evening Shadows features a cottage on a lake at sunset. It was produced in the 1970's by the Brown and Bigelow Calendar Company. It is 12" x 16" in overall size and 10.5" x 14" in image size. It is printed on canvas and is in excellent condition.
